| As the city had been arranged in loop type, a core part was created in the most central part. This part had been specified as the characteristic of green tract of land and with its effect a vast size of green tract of land had been created around the city. According to the city structure of loop type, various types of district had been arranged systematically including residential area, business district, administration district and etc. Therefore when the site faces with a city, it faces with different districts with different usage for a city. For the communication with a city, and also for the preservation of green land (cultivated land), an area of neutral characteristic that could filter two contradictory demands is required.
Central open space of MAC faces with a city with same conditions in terms of voided space and without directivity. By the standard of edge with a city, the inner part meets up with preservation of green land in terms of desire of expansion and stability, and the outer part meets up with desire of various culture and activism. Therefore the edge has a neutral position that has to accept desires of both inner and outer part and design it. Among them the site is connected with both districts with high density of administration and business district and also district with low density which will be a developing zone in the future. Therefore by the characteristic neighboring district, the characteristic of edge is formed. In overall, a space with neutral characteristic should be formed along the edge line, but both the business district and administration district should be designed as a space they are cultural and have the traits of city park in compact manner. |
