| 마음의 평화를 주는 기도와 휴식의 공간을 주제로 명동성당의 역사성 과 상징성을 부각시키며 친환경적 외부공간을 통한 성지로서의 미래상을 정립하도록 계획되었다.
전면 광장은 도심과 명동성당 사이의 전이공간으로 신도 및 방문객을 위한 휴게쉼터를 계획하였고 본당 주변은 건물측면 녹지 공간 조성 및 플랜트 설치로 시각적 안정감을 확보하였다.
본당 후면 성모동산은 자연 속에서 성모님과 함께하는 사색의 정원으로 이벤트시 다목적으로 활용이 가능하도록 계획하였다.
The plan can provide the historicity and symbol of Myeongdong Catholic Church. The design represents the space for the pray and rest which makes a feel peaceful.
Also, it could establish the image of the future as the sacred place through an ecofriendly exterior space. The front plaza, the intermediate place between the city and Myeongdong Catholic Church, is designed as a rest area for visitors.
The main site provides a visual sense of stability by a green space of the facade and planting.
The Maria Hill, the backside of the site, is designed as a garden for meditation and it can be used for various recreational events. |
